Sculptural geometric hardedge painting. Made with acrylic paint on MDF-board. Measuring around 170cm x 120cm.

With these kind of works I make supersmall drawings so I'll be discouraged from adding too many elements. When I’m happy with the drawing I scale it up for the finished piece. I find that this is a pretty good way of retaining some kind of simplicity and avoids overloading the composition with elements. Freeing the silhouette of the painting using a circular saw makes the painting more sculptural and less contained.
